15+ years experience building software in the Transportation & Logistics industry. I started getting involved in transporation when I was in high school. My dad ran operations for an intermodal company focused on import and exports. I held a part-time job there unloading trucks, cleaning the shop and performing other small jobs. I was exposed to highly complex intermodal solutions at a young age which gave me a solid baseline understanding of transportation and supply chain.
After college, I joined a startup company called Kuebix that was transforming from a 3PL into a technology provider. At Kuebix, I helped develop and implement shipper TMS solutions and it was there that I learned of the immense value that technology can bring to an antiqauted transportation industry. We were able to disrupt the TMS market with a modern SaaS product that was able to scale down to smaller businesses. I held various leadership positions at Kuebix in Operations, Implementation, and Product Management. Kuebix would later go on to be acquired by Trimble which is where I've been ever since.
At Trimble, I served as the voice of the shipper at a company that is mostly focused on asset-based transportation. I helped our carriers and the folks building our carrier software better understand the perspective of their customers, the shippers. Having spent nearly 5 years now at Trimble, I've been able to gain a wealth of knowledge on carriers and how they operate. Now, leveraging knowledge drawn from both sides of the market, I'm driving a new vision for TMS that focuses on the interoperability of workflows between our Trimble carriers and their partner systems, whether that is a shipper or a third party repair shop.
