Rob Painter became Trimble's president and chief executive officer in January 2020. From 2016 through 2019, he served as chief financial officer. Joining the company in 2006, Painter held a variety of leadership positions, including corporate development, general manager of Construction Services, and vice president of Trimble Buildings construction software. Painter holds a bachelor's degree in finance from West Virginia University and an MBA from Harvard University.
